Class Dress Code

The Importance of Following Class Dress Code

All required class leotards, tights, and shoes are available for purchase directly through Tribe Dance Center.
We offer convenient Tiny Tribe and Combo Class bundles to make shopping easy. Attire for all other classes can be purchased separately.

To create a safe, focused, and respectful environment for all our dancers, we kindly ask that families and students adhere to our dress code policies:

  • No jewelry or street shoes are allowed inside the studios to ensure safety and maintain cleanliness.

  • Hair must be neatly pulled back into a dancer bun for all classes whenever possible to keep hair secure and out of the face.

  • All required shoes must be purchased through Tribe to ensure proper fit and uniformity.

  • Wearing the appropriate attire helps dancers move freely, supports proper technique, and fosters a professional studio atmosphere.

    • Class leotard, tights, ballet slippers, and hair bow included in class bundle

    • Ballet slippers are required

    • Comfortable, form-fitting clothes may also be worn

  • Combo I (Ballet, Tap & Jazz)

    • Class leotard (provided in bundle)

    • Ballet slippers and tap shoes required (provided in bundle or available to purchase separately)

    Acro/Hip Hop Combo

    • Hip Hop: All-white sneakers (dancer-provided, no outside shoes allowed) Baggy clothes to throw over form fitting dance attire may be worn

    • Acro: Leotard and form fitting shorts or available for purchase class- leotard; no tights or baggy clothes

  • Junior Ballet

    • Leotard, ballet pink tights, and ballet slippers required

    • Optional ballet skirt if not distracting

    • No baggy clothes or leggings

    Junior Jazz/Lyrical/Tap/Modern

    • Form fitting dance attire- crop top with dance shorts or option to purchase class leotard with dance shorts

    • Tap classes may wear baggier options

    • Additional jazz and tap shoes required to purchase through Tribe

    Junior Hip Hop

    • Form-fitting base layer with baggy clothes allowed over it

    • All-white sneakers (dancer-provided)

  • Teen Ballet

    • Leotard, ballet pink tights, and ballet slippers required

    • Optional ballet skirt if not distracting

    • No baggy clothes or leggings

    Teen Jazz/Lyrical/Tap/Modern

    • Form fitting dance attire- crop top with dance shorts or option to purchase class leotard with dance shorts

    • Tap classes may wear baggier options

    • Additional jazz and tap shoes required to purchase through Tribe

    Teen Hip Hop

    • Form-fitting base layer with baggy clothes allowed over it

    • All-white sneakers (dancer-provided)

  • Acro Program (Level 1-Pre-Professional Classes)

    • Leotard and dance shorts only; no baggy clothes or crop tops
