Studio Policies

Tribe Dance Center is committed to creating a positive, organized environment for our dance families. Please review the following policies carefully. Enrollment indicates acceptance of all studio policies.

    • An annual, non-refundable $25 registration fee is required per student.

    • If joining mid-season, first month’s tuition is due at the time of registration to reserve a dancer’s spot in class.

    • Parents have 24/7 access to their accounts via the Parent Portal.

    • Tuition is based on the annual cost of instruction, divided into 9 equal monthly payments (September–June). This includes the short month of June, which is not prorated.

    • Monthly tuition is due on the 7th of each month via automatic credit/debit card withdrawal. Please ensure your payment information is current.

    • Cash or check payments are accepted only by the 6th of the month. After that, auto-pay will process.

    • A $20 late fee will be applied to any account not paid by the 20th of the month.

    • Students with accounts past due for over 30 days will not be permitted to attend class until the balance is paid.

    • Tuition includes all instructed classes, group choreography, and in-studio rehearsals.

    • Tuition is non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances.

    • In the event of low enrollment, Tribe reserves the right to cancel a class. A full refund will be issued for any pre-paid tuition in this case.

    • Consistent attendance is essential for progress. Excessive absences may result in a level adjustment or restricted performance participation.

    • Absences must be reported in advance via email at tribedancecenter@gmail.com or by calling the studio at 413-893-1942.

    • Students should arrive at least 10 minutes early, dressed and ready to warm up.

    • Students arriving more than 15 minutes late may be asked to observe class for safety reasons.

    • Dancers who miss multiple rehearsals may be required to schedule additional one-on-one sessions to catch up. Additional rehearsal fees may apply.

    • Make-up classes are only scheduled if a class exceeds the built-in number of snow day closures. Other absences are not eligible for make-ups or tuition credit.

  • (Does not apply to Competitive Program Students)

    • A non-refundable $100 recital fee per student is due in late April.

    • A costume fee of $80 per class is paid in two installments:

      • $40 due in October

      • $40 due in November

    • Students who enroll after these dates may be required to pay costume fees at the time of registration, pending costume availability.

    • All recreational classes (except specified training classes) will perform one routine in the annual recital.

    • Recital and costume fees are non-refundable, even if a student is unable to perform.

    • The annual recital is typically held in early June at 2:00 PM. The exact date is confirmed at the start of each season.

    • A 30-day written notice is required to withdraw from any class.

    • All withdrawal requests must be submitted via email to the Studio Director.

    • If notice is not received 30 days in advance, the following month’s tuition will be charged automatically.

    • No refunds will be issued for paid tuition, recital fees, competition fees, costumes, or accessories.

    • Tribe reserves the right to dismiss a student or parent due to behavior that is disrespectful, disruptive, or fails to meet the standards of this agreement.

    • If dismissed, your account will be charged for the following month’s tuition on the day of dismissal.

    • No refunds will be issued for dismissal under any circumstances.

    • Studio closure decisions will be made by 12:00 PM on days with inclement weather.

    • Tribe does not follow local school closings.

    • Closure notifications will be posted on social media and sent via automated email.

    • No tuition refunds or credits will be issued for weather-related closures.

    • Make-up classes will only be offered if the number of closures exceeds the built-in allowance in the annual schedule.
