Studio Policies
Tribe Dance Center is committed to creating a positive, organized environment for our dance families. Please review the following policies carefully. Enrollment indicates acceptance of all studio policies.
-
An annual, non-refundable $25 registration fee per student is due at the time of enrollment.
Students joining after the season has begun will begin tuition payments at the current monthly rate upon enrollment.
Parents have 24/7 access to account information through the Parent Portal.
Enrollment is subject to class availability and appropriate placement.
-
Tuition for full-season enrollment is based on a 26-class season from October–June and is divided into 9 equal monthly installments.
Tuition is automatically charged to the card on file on the 7th of each month.
Cash, check, or money order payments must be received by the 6th to avoid automatic processing.
Tuition is based on enrollment and is not adjusted for individual absences.
A $20 late fee applies to tuition balances remaining unpaid after the 20th of the month.
Returned or declined payments are subject to a $35 returned payment fee.
Accounts past due for 30 days or more may result in temporary suspension from classes and studio activities until the account is brought current.
If Tribe Dance Center cancels a class due to insufficient enrollment, families will be notified and any applicable prepaid tuition will be refunded or credited.
-
Consistent attendance is important for dancer progress and recital preparation.
Please notify the studio of anticipated absences whenever possible.
Students should arrive 10 minutes prior to class, dressed and prepared to participate.
Students arriving more than 15 minutes late may be asked to observe for safety reasons.
Individual absences are not eligible for tuition credits or guaranteed make-up classes.
Excessive absences may affect class placement or participation in performances when a dancer is not adequately prepared.
-
Recreational Program Only
All Recreational classes participate in the annual recital unless specifically designated as non-performing or training-based.
A non-refundable $120 recital fee per student is due in late April.
Costumes are estimated at approximately $80 per class, with two $40 costume deposits collected:
$40 in October
$40 in November
Any remaining costume balance will be invoiced in February.
Students enrolling after costume orders have been placed may be required to pay the estimated costume cost at enrollment. Costume availability cannot be guaranteed for late registrations.
Costume deposits are non-refundable once costumes have been ordered, and families remain responsible for the full cost of costumes already ordered on their dancer's behalf.
The annual recital is held in early June. The official date, performance time, and additional details are provided each season.
-
Written notice via email is required to withdraw from Tribe Dance Center.
Withdrawal requests must be submitted to tribedancecenter@gmail.com.
Notice must be received by the 1st of the month to avoid responsibility for the following month's tuition.
Verbal notice, text messages, social media messages, or simply discontinuing attendance do not constitute withdrawal.
No refunds or credits are issued for partial months, individual absences, or unused classes.
Families remain responsible for outstanding charges and financial commitments already made on their dancer's behalf, including costumes already ordered and applicable recital fees.
Costume deposits and prepaid annual tuition are non-refundable.
-
Tribe Dance Center is committed to providing a positive, respectful, and safe environment for dancers, families, faculty, and staff.
Dancers and parents/guardians are expected to communicate and behave respectfully toward instructors, staff, dancers, and other studio families.
Bullying, harassment, threatening or inappropriate behavior, repeated disruption, or conduct that negatively impacts the studio environment will not be tolerated.
Tribe Dance Center reserves the right to address conduct concerns and, when necessary, suspend or terminate enrollment.
In the event of dismissal, families remain responsible for outstanding balances and financial commitments already incurred on the dancer's behalf.
-
Tribe Dance Center schedules a minimum of 26 classes per regularly scheduled class during the October–June season. The annual calendar includes additional class dates on many weekdays to help account for weather-related and unforeseen closures.
Tribe Dance Center does not automatically follow local school closings.
Weather-related closure decisions will generally be made by 12:00 PM whenever possible.
Closure notifications will be communicated by email and studio social media.
Individual weather-related closures do not result in tuition refunds or credits.
If a class falls below the 26-class season minimum due to studio closures, Tribe Dance Center will make reasonable efforts to schedule a make-up class.
Classes may also be canceled, combined, rescheduled, or modified when necessary due to instructor illness, emergencies, enrollment, or other circumstances affecting studio operations.
